Redmi Note 14 in Pakistan: Initial Review

Redmi has launched its highly anticipated Redmi Note 14 Series in Pakistan. The Note Series, along with the Number Series, is very popular in the country. They have a huge fan base for this lineup. However, this year, fans are disappointed with the price and features Redmi has offered.

Redmi Note 14 Series Lineup:

Redmi has launched three phones in the Note 14 series:

  1. Redmi Note 14

  2. Redmi Note 14 Pro

  3. Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus

In this article, we’ll discuss the Redmi Note 14 in detail.

Redmi Note 14 (8/128GB – Rs. 53,000 on PriceOye)

✅ Pros:

Display:

The Redmi Note 14 features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 2400×1080 (Full HD+) resolution and 1800 nits peak brightness. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, which is quite good for this price range.

Battery:

The Note 14 comes with a 5,500mAh battery, an upgrade from the 5,000mAh battery in the Note 13. This improvement is due to silicon-carbon battery technology, which allows for more compact and efficient batteries.

❌ Cons:

Processor:

The biggest downside of the Redmi Note 14 is its MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra processor. The hardware does not justify the price tag of Rs. 53,000.

  • How can they launch a device with a G99 processor at this price point?

  • The Redmi Note 13 (256GB) is available for Rs. 45,000 on PriceOye.

  • In India, they launched the Note 14 Ultra with a Dimensity 7025 chip (480,000 AnTuTu score), which is far better than the G99 (410,000 AnTuTu score).

Camera:

Last year, Redmi launched the Note 13 with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. However, this year, they have removed the ultra-wide lens from the Note 14.

  • The phone comes with a 108MP wide lens that records at 60 FPS.

  • It lacks both OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization).

Final Thoughts:

The Redmi Note 13 was launched at Rs. 54,000 last year. Now, its price has dropped to Rs. 42,000 for the 128GB variant (on PriceOye).

This device will definitely receive price cuts in the coming months. You should not buy this phone at its current price. Its ideal price should be around Rs. 44,000 – Rs. 45,000.

If you need a phone urgently, here are some value-for-money alternatives:

  1. Tecno Camon 30s

  2. Tecno Spark 20 Pro Plus

  3. Redmi Note 13

  4. Infinix Hot 50 Pro
